Dominique Vinci, born in 1964 in Switzerland, obtained his dental technology diploma in 1983 in Geneva.
He worked as dental technician at the University of Geneva for five years. Vinci then worked in Zurich and Rome with Alwin Schönenberger. In 1995, he founded the Laboratoire Odontotechnique Vinci, which he owned until 2008. Furthermore, he teaches at the dental technology school in Geneva and holds practical workshops for dental technicians on a regular basis.
Dominique Vinci specialized above all in esthetic fixed restorations and implant-retained prosthetics, and he has 15 years experience in working with all-ceramic systems (aluminium oxide, zirconium oxide, etc.). In 2005, he and Dr Vaillati from the University of Geneva were awarded the first prize for the best clinical case at the international implantology congress in Munich for a restorative work in collaboration with Prof. U Belser from the Department for Fixed Prosthetics.
Vinci participated in a clinical study on bone level implants and zirconium oxide abutments (Straumann Anatomic IPS e.max Abutment) in 2005.
In 2008, he started working as Opinion Leader for Ivoclar Vivadent and Straumann.
In late 2009, he opened a new laboratory and a centre for further education (Vinci Dental Concept) in Geneva.
